Young people from Matanzas participated in a cleaning action on El Coral beach as part of the activities for World Environment Day.
Workers from the Antonio Guiteras Thermoelectric Power Plant and the Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport, along with students from the Carlos Marx Vocational Pre-University Institute of Exact Sciences and the René Fraga Moreno Pedagogical School, joined the Youth in Green day, convened by the Youth Union Communists.
The member of the Provincial Bureau of the UJC, Lisbeth Quesada Reyna, stated that Matanzas reached the national headquarters of the Youth in Green Day for the second time with a program of activities that covers all the municipalities of the province.
For her part, Ayleen Céspedes Alonso, nature guide at El Coral beach, assured that the systematic participation of workers from the entity, Citma and other organizations, as well as students and the community of Carbonera contributes to protecting the nature of the place rich in reefs. coral and other natural resources.
The activities extend until June 8 as part of the Youth in Green Day convened by the Union of Young Communists. (LLOLL)
