One day after the local government has commissioned technicians to modify the environmental protection ordinance in Logroño so that it clearly reflects the prohibition of consuming beverages of any kind on public roads from midnight to midnight. At eight in the morning, the La Laurel Hoteliers Association launches its good practices campaign under the motto ‘Be a good laureator’. The objective, they point out in a press release, is to remember and promote good behavior among their visitors.

The association insists on “its commitment to social responsibility and continues working to maintain La Laurel as a leading gastronomic destination.” The initiative, which comes just before the celebration of San Barnabas, seeks to ensure “a harmonious coexistence between residents and tourists who come to enjoy its gastronomy” at a time when there has been debate in this regard, such as, for example , about the closure on said street at twelve at night.

Stools in the street to obscene costumes

To promote respect and responsibility in La Laurel, this campaign includes a decalogue of good practices such as: “do not take stools out onto the street, do not carry drinks from one establishment to another, exclusively use the barrels of the establishment where it is consumed, pay drinks before being served, ensure the tranquility of all customers and order only one person on behalf of the group.

The initiative also has a warning under the heading ‘Overdoing has consequences’ which indicates that “failure to comply with these rules may entail sanctions of up to 600 euros, in accordance with the Municipal Ordinance for the Promotion of Citizen Coexistence of the Logroño City Council. ».

Within these regulations are the prohibitions on “wearing inappropriate and obscene costumes, using public address systems and sound amplification methods, performing brass bands without municipal permission, making noise and commotion, and the obligation to comply with current health regulations.”

The hoteliers of Calle Laurel will have this decalogue of good practices visible in their establishments to remind their visitors of the rules of coexistence and good behavior that they have to respect.
