Young people from Salta will be able to carry out professional internships in the Municipality of Capital

The Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, Cristina Fiore Viñuales, and the mayor of the City of Salta, Emiliano Durand, signed a framework cooperation agreement through which students from secondary schools in the Capital can carry out professional internships in facilities in the commune.

The initiative aims for young people to be trained in real work environments, to acquire specific skills for decision-making, problem-solving and acquiring a critical view of reality. In addition, the aim is to improve the employability of that age group.

During the signing of documents, the minister indicated that professional practices are a gateway to the world of work, because they allow children to get to know it while still in a school setting, with support that guides them and gives them security, reinforcing their knowledge and acquiring skills specific to the real work environment.

For his part, Mayor Durand stated: “They are on the right path, there are many sectors that demand technical profiles, but the first thing is to train, and then enter the world of work.”

Accompanying the authorities were: the Undersecretary of Education and Labor, Diego López Morillo, directors of secondary and technical schools in the Capital, teachers and students.
