Vallenato Mar de Acordeones Festival of Santa Marta honored the singer-songwriter Elder Dayán Díaz

SEA OF ACCORDIONS FESTIVAL:

The capital of the Department of Magdalena is preparing to experience one of the most important folkloric festivals in the Caribbean. From June 6 to 9, lovers of Vallenato folklore will meet in the most beautiful bay in America to compete for the great statuette of the Sea of ​​Accordions.

From the organization of this Festival, the entire community and visitors are invited to join this riot of Vallenato music and culture, which in this version pays tribute to Elder Dayán Díaz.

Below, we detail the activities scheduled for each day of the festival:

Thursday June 6 | Bay Ridge

– 9:00 am – Reception of participants and delivery of badges.
– 10:00 am – First eliminatory round of amateur accordion players, Group 1.
– 5:00 pm – Official opening of the festival.

Friday June 7 | Bay Ridge

– 9:00 am – First eliminatory round of amateur accordion players, Group 2.
– 2:00 pm – First qualifying round for professional accordion players (4-air performance).
– 7:00 pm – Second round of singers in the open category.
– 8:00 pm – First semi-final round of amateur accordion players (promenade and merengue interpretation).

Saturday June 8 | Bay Ridge

– 10:00 am – Second semi-final round of amateur accordion players (interpretation of son and puja).
– 2:00 pm – Semifinal of professional accordion players (4-air performance).
– 5:00 pm – Semifinal for singers in the open category.
– 7:00 pm – Final of amateur accordion players.

Sunday June 9 | Tablecloths and Crystals

– 5:00 pm – Doors opening.
– 6:00 pm – Final of singers in the open category.
– 7:00 pm – Final of professional accordion players.
– 8:00 pm – Special presentations by Elder Dayán and Lucas Dangond, Oscar Gamarra and Camilo Carvajal, and Julio Rojas and Tavo Sumoza.
