With a ‘mamola’, President Gustavo Petro responded to the Government technicians who alerted him about the budget cut what had to be done to achieve the proposed objectives.
“Now a budget cut is coming and the first thing the technicians said was, the technicians in quotes: ‘the first thing that needs to be cut is the agrarian reform budget’ – great! – here the budget is cut from something else, but less from the commitment that the Colombian State made to humanity through the unilateral declaration of State,” said Petro.

Immediately, the president told the Minister of Agriculture, Jhenifer Mojica that She had the task of carrying out the land purchase.
“The agrarian reform budget is not cut and you have a moral obligation to make it land for the peasantry,” said the president.
