Within the framework of the Francisco el Hombre Festival to be held in Riohacha, La Guajira, the National Police has deployed a special security operation with the participation of more than 300 men and women from various specialties, as well as administrative personnel, with the purpose of guaranteeing the safety and well-being of those attending said celebration.
These actions include constant patrols, checkpoints and surveillance in high-traffic areas. In addition to providing security recommendations to citizens to prevent incidents and guarantee peaceful coexistence.
Also for these days there will be a special Tourism Protection group for surveillance and supervision in hotels and hostels to verify compliance with the rules and prevent sexual exploitation of minors.
Colonel Diego Edison Montaña Gómez, commander of the Guajira Police Department, said: “We are committed to ensuring that the Francisco el Hombre Festival takes place in an environment of peace and harmony. Our priority is the safety of all attendees and residents. We invite everyone to enjoy this cultural event responsibly and to collaborate with the Police by reporting any suspicious situation.”
In addition to security measures, the National Police has implemented awareness campaigns about the importance of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect during the festival. These campaigns include community integration activities, informative talks and the distribution of educational material.
The festival
For this 2024, the settings for the festival will be the beaches and the Caribbean Sea of Riohacha. The organizing board announced that the award ceremony includes the musical production of four songs, which will be in charge of producer Carlos Huertas Junior. The best singer and the best accordion player will have 150 thousand miles of travel so they can fulfill their agendas and visit different destinations in the country.
There will also be a gastronomic and cultural fair, an art and fashion catwalk, an inaugural parade, a parade, and the indigenous communities are ready to welcome those who wish to learn about their culture and way of life.
In this 16th version of the Francisco El Hombre Festival that will last until June 9, after the contests, national and international artists such as Oscar Gamarra, Jonathan Jaraba “El Meke”, Rafa Pérez, Diego Daza, Jessi Uribe will be performing on stage. , Eddy Herrera, among others.
