The Court of Violence against Women number 1 of Córdoba has agreed this Friday to “entry into provisional prison, communicated and without bail”, for the 20-year-old young man detained on Thursday night by the National Police at the Bus Station from Córdoba, when he was trying to flee the city, for allegedly stabbing his partner, a 31-year-old woman, last Wednesday in a home in the capital of Córdoba, the victim being treated and discharged that same day at the Reina Sofía Hospital in Cordova. As reported by the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA), the already imprisoned man “is investigated for the crimes of gender violence, injuries and continued violation of sentence.” As a detainee, he gave a statement in court, and the aforementioned court ordered his imprisonment. The same court has established that, if he is provisionally released in the future, the precautionary measure of protection of the alleged victim and his son will be applied, with the placement of a telematic bracelet on the prisoner, although this measure will only be will apply in the event that he is released in the future. As detailed by the National Police Corps, the events that led the detainee to prison occurred last Wednesday at a home in the La Fuensanta area. Apparently, that same afternoon, the alleged aggressor had shown up at the victim’s home to ask for help, and she had agreed to his requests. Around 3:30 p.m., a call alerted of an alleged assault with a knife, according to the 112 Andalusia Emergency Service, specifically in a house on Conquistador Ordoño Álvarez Street. At the scene, the agents observed a bloodied woman, with multiple stab wounds on her hands and face, being immediately transferred by the 061 medical services to the Reina Sofía Hospital for treatment, and she was discharged hours later. At the same scene, the agents found a knife with traces of blood, about 12 centimeters long, which could be the weapon used by the alleged aggressor, being collected and handed over to the Scientific Police for analysis. After the commission of the events, the alleged perpetrator fled the scene, starting from that very moment a large police force to locate and arrest him. After carrying out the relevant checks in the police databases, the investigators learned of the validity of a restraining order for the man with respect to the victim, as well as the existence of previous complaints of gender violence. For this reason, from that moment until the moment of arrest, a permanent protection device for the victim was established by National Police agents. In this regard, the Department of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality of the Government of Andalusia activated the “psychological care service in crisis to support the young woman at this time” after this event, which the National Police is investigating as gender violence. , after she gave a statement before the agents. The 31-year-old woman is registered in the Comprehensive Monitoring System in cases of Gender Violence (VioGén System), with a medium risk level, which was raised to extreme until the arrest of the young man and, as sources have told Europa Press of Social Inclusion, “the victim was a user of the Provincial Women’s Center until 2019.”
