On May 19, around 9:45 p.m., a young woman was riding a bicycle on Lemos Street, in Pocito, when a few meters from Picasso Street she was surprised by two men aboard a Motomel 150 cc motorcycle.

They immediately began to threaten the woman and one of them kicked her in the ribs, causing her to lose her balance and fall into a ditch. The thieves took advantage of that moment to steal her bicycle.

A witness who saw everything helped the victim and gave details that allowed the Police to have clues to find the attackers. After the raids ordered by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in two homes in the Teresa neighborhood of Calcutta, the motorcycle on which they were traveling and the clothing they were wearing at the time of the crime were seized.

Once arrested, the subjects were identified as Gonzalo Jesús Ahumada Saball, 22 years old, and Efraín Olmos Ruiz Olmos, 24. In an abbreviated trial held this Friday, Justice determined that both were criminally responsible for the crime and were sentenced to prison. ten months of suspended prison.
