This Friday the semi-finalists of the AAT Challenger Santander Santa Fe edition, which takes place at Lawn Tennis in the provincial capital, were defined.
The Argentines Facundo Mena, Gonzalo Villanueva and Andrea Collarini and the American Ulises Blanch were the winners of the day and will fight for the title.
Mena, 31, beat American Trey Hilderbrand 6-4, 7-6 and reached his first Challenger semifinal in the country. This Saturday he will seek the final against another representative of the North American country, Ulises Blanch, who defeated Lautaro Midon from Corrientes by a double 6-4.
The other semifinal match will feature two national tennis players: Gonzalo Villanueva and Andrea Collarini. The Parana native eliminated Tomás Farjat from Buenos Aires (5-7, 7-5 and 6-4) and advanced to his third semifinal in tournaments in this category, the first since January 2023. For his part, Collarini, the American who represents the Argentina beat the Brazilian Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida 5-7, 6-2 and 6-3.
The AAT Challenger Santander Santa Fe edition awards 50 ATP points to the champion and distributes U$D 50,000 in prizes. This is the fourth tournament of this type organized by the Argentine Tennis Association so far this year, after two events in Buenos Aires and the remaining one in Tucumán.
