The Riojan classic is played in the Regional Center
This weekend the tenth date (third of the rematches) will be played in the Andean Region of the Central Regional Rugby Tournament, where the dispute of a new edition of the La Rioja classic stands out.
Social and Chelcos will be face to face again, in the match that will be played on Rojo’s field. From 3:00 p.m. they will face each other in Intermediate and from 4:30 p.m. it will be the First Division match, but the day will start early, because they will also face each other in the two Youth categories, starting at 11:00 a.m.
A lot at stake
Beyond the usual rivalry, it will not be just another match, because they fight hand in hand to be among the four that will qualify for the second round of the Regional, to face the teams from the Unión Cordobesa.
The parity is such that they come to the duel sharing third place in the standings (both have 29 units). In addition, the last precedent also reflects how balanced the duel is, since in the first round match, played on Chelcos’ field, they tied 18 to 18, an unusual result in rugby.

In the other match that will be played this Saturday, the Catamarca classic will take place, where Catamarca Rugby Club will be home against Los Teros, also from 4:30 p.m.
The date will be completed on Sunday with the other two duels, which will be played at the same times. There, Hurones will face El Olivo/Wiracochas in Valle Viejo, while Matacos/Takú will play CRAR/Naranjos in the city of Chamical.
