Nobody knows when the right moment will come. But all the players assure that there is a day when they know it, where the body and the head tell them “enough.”

TO Ezequiel Rescaldania forward from Córdoba born in the town of Leones, in recent days that feeling came over him and there was no turning back.

At 31 years old and days before turning 32, he decided to hang up his boots and close his time as a professional player.

This was communicated to the directors of Deportivo Moróna team in which he played in the Primera Nacional and with whom he had to terminate his contract.

Rescaldani had a long career, starting in Vélez Sársfield, where he played inferiors, and then continuing through Quilmes, Málaga in Spain, Puebla in Mexico, Atlético Nacional in Colombia, Talleres, Huesca in Spain, Patronato, Arsenal, Santiago Wanderers in Chile, San Martín de San Juan y Morón.

He scored 58 goals in more than 275 official matches played.

He was in Talleres in the 2016-17 season, scoring two goals in 12 appearances.

The Morón club and its directors tried on several occasions to convince him to continue playing, but the player’s refusal was categorical.

“Today, Ezequiel Rescaldani, who decided to distance himself from professional soccer, signed the termination of his contract, even after several attempts by our CD to get him to review this decision,” Morón reported on his networks.

In 2023, Rescaldani suffered a blow to the head in a Morón match against Gimnasia de Mendoza, for which he was hospitalized.

He had good performances in El Gallo until suffering that severe blow to the head that sidelined him from the courts. After that event, he lost his rhythm and never showed his hierarchy again.

In the Primera Nacional current, Rescaldani was present in 15 of the 18 matches that Morón played, and scored only two goals (against Brown de Adrogué and San Telmo).
