President Javier Milei He broke protocol again, this time to go up to greet a group of students who were shouting at him while he was crossing the surroundings of the Casa Rosada under official guard. But the scene did not end in a simple greeting, but rather it was put together a “pogo” in which the president himself participated.
The situation, which occurred on Friday, was recorded on the phones of the students and also the staff of Balcarce 50, and then went viral on social networks.
In one of those videos you can see how the security cars that transported Milei remained parked in the Alicia Moreau de Justo Avenue, in the area behind the Casa Rosada, near Puerto Madero. Flanked by his bodyguards, the President is seen cross the avenue and meet the young people, that with the screams they approach him. After that, the libertarian leader returns to the truck but first takes photos with other people who were waiting for him on the other side of the street.
But the most striking recording was taken up close, where what happened when the President arrived to speak with the group is recorded. There you can see the president, in a suit, jumping in unison with the teenagers, who harangue him: “Milei, Milei.” Some of them took the opportunity to film the scene and then personnel from Casa Militar could also be seen guarding the pogo in the middle of the sidewalk in downtown Buenos Aires.
This is the second opportunity so far this week that the President – highly accepted among young people – appears with students. On Tuesday, after the Cabinet meeting, Milei went out to the balcony and when she saw a group of primary school children calling to her from the other side of the fence of the Government House, she decided to go down to greet them and sign their notebooks. . “He shook my hand,” “I love you,” and “I have Milei’s signature” were some things that were heard among the students, this time younger than those at the pogo.
