The Tarapacá Regional Ministerial Health Secretariat and the Arturo Prat University signed a collaboration agreement to work together on issues related to public health.

This alliance will allow the carrying out of professional practices, research work, training, workshops and talks focused on the work of the SEREMI de Salud.

In this regard, the Minister of Health of Tarapacá, David Valle, highlighted that this agreement is essential to promote quality health in the region and increase people’s quality of life. “This favors health policies and we believe that it is an important basis to promote and increase quality health in our region,” Valle commented.

For his part, the rector of the Arturo Prat University, Alberto Martínez, expressed his joy and commitment to the agreement, pointing out that the Faculty of Health is thinking about new offers and collaborations that respond to the needs of the territory. “It is a commitment of the Faculty of Health that is dreaming and thinking about new offers, new spaces, new collaborations, new contributions that can be developed to what the territory needs,” Martínez stated.

The dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Arturo Prat University, Ximena Ibarra, emphasized the importance of working together to take advantage of the resources and knowledge of both institutions. “It is imperative that we work together taking advantage of the resources and knowledge of both institutions to develop innovative and effective strategies that improve the quality of life of our community,” said Ibarra.

This is an agreement signed at the university facilities, it will have a duration of two years, automatically extendable for equal periods, unless one of the parties expresses their intention to include modifications or not to persevere with it.
