With this move, the Colombian striker becomes the second reinforcement of the ‘Poeta’ team, joining José Bolívar, who arrives on loan from Universitario de Deportes. Under the direction of coach Guillermo Salas, the northern team is preparing intensely for the Clausura Tournament, seeking to improve its performance after finishing last in its Copa Sudamericana group and occupying tenth position in the Apertura, with 20 points.
Through its social networks, the UCV extended a welcome to Rodríguez, marking the return of the coffee striker to League 1. At the age of 31, this will be the third team he represents in Peru. The aforementioned debuted in local football with Carlos A. Mannucci, in 2020, and later joined Alianza Lima, in 2021.
