This Saturday morning, a fatal accident occurred on the Córdoba-Carlos Paz highway, near San Nicolás. As a result of the accident, a 23-year-old young man died.

The driver of a Chevrolet Prisma lost control and got lost, according to the Córdoba Police.

Five people were traveling in the vehicle: two men and three women. Due to the violence of the impact, one of the passengers was ejected from the car and fell onto the road. When emergency teams arrived, it was found that the young man no longer had vital signs.

Justice investigates the circumstances of the accident.

Inspector Commissioner Mariano Vaistij, present at the scene, told Cadena 3 that the driver of the Prisma tested positive for alcohol testing, registering 1.10 grams of alcohol per liter of blood.

This fact led to the driver being transferred to the San Nicolás police station to face the relevant legal procedures under the direction of the Villa Carlos Paz Prosecutor’s Office on duty.

Vaistij noted that, although other drivers removed the occupants of the vehicle before the arrival of the Police, it could not be confirmed whether they were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

The survivors were visibly shaken by the incident.

The young people were heading towards the city of Córdoba from Carlos Paz and as it was learned, they had spent the night in San Nicolás.
