Within the framework of the festive long weekend of the Day of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Córdoba Police Department has implemented an operation to guarantee the security and mobility of citizens. In total, there will be 1,500 uniformed personnel, specialized in various areas, who will provide protection and control during this weekend.
In this sense, The Traffic and Transportation Police have launched the “Exodus” and “Return” plans. These plans include the mobilization of more than 20 thousand vehicles through different road axes of the department, with the installation of eight prevention and control areas where educational campaigns will be carried out.
In coordination with road concessions, crane-type vehicles and workshop cars will be available to offer mechanical assistance to travelers who need it.
The Córdoba Police urge drivers to respect traffic rules, not drive while intoxicated, avoid excessive speed, and drive with caution, especially during the rainy season. In addition, it is recommended to always use the seat belt and carry out a technical and mechanical inspection of the vehicles before starting the trip.
During the festive long weekend of the Day of the Sacred Heart of Jesus last year, 110,862 vehicles were mobilized on the roads of the Department of Córdoba and two traffic accidents were recorded that resulted in two people being injured, but fortunately no fatalities were recorded.
