As part of the parliamentary visit to Villa Clara, and at the end of this Friday afternoon, the Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the National Assembly of People’s Power and the Council of State, Esteban Lazo Hernández, called greater rigor in attention to the population, to move forward with revolutionary commitment and great sensitivity towards the people.
“It is the essence of our party and government in the issue of solving approaches, the agility and responsibility that must characterize the work of cadres and managers,” he said, while insisting on that permanent sensitivity.
When leading a working meeting with Presidents of Popular Councils, the leadership of the Municipal Assembly and the Administration Council in Santa Clara, in the year in which the city celebrates its 335th anniversary, Lazo Hernández emphasized the need to increase comprehensiveness in community and social work in the neighborhoods, on the path towards a prosperous and sustainable future for Cubans.
Prior to the exercise of Accountability to the National Assembly, the Permanent Commission of Attention to the local bodies of Popular Power, chaired by Miriam Brito Sarroca, evaluated key aspects in the activity that impact the lives of the inhabitants such as integrated community work , social communication and links with the Board of Directors.
At this point, the Secretary of the National Assembly of People’s Power and the Council of State, Homero Acosta Álvarez, highlighted the potential in the territory within alliances with universities, for the improvement of the work system at the base. He also highlighted the experiences in El Condado, a district that he visited accompanied by the president of that Council, David Perdomo Rojo, which was transformed, he appreciated, with the participation of everyone and especially the more than 34 thousand inhabitants, based on control work. and popular oversight.
With 13 constituencies, the Santa Clara County is one of the Popular Councils that is advancing in the consolidation of its Prevention and Social Care Group in favor of problems associated with urbanization and street paving, water supply and the housing fund.
In the dialogue, the president of the Municipal Assembly of Popular Power Osmani García López addressed how the existing mechanisms in serving the population are perfected and consolidated as a constant challenge in the current Legislature, “coupled with the preparation and constant improvement of the delegates to incorporate into the work in the neighborhoods the pillars in the management of the Government and the Party: social communication, computerization and science and innovation.
During the meeting, a special look in this sense was given to the essential relationships that link the Secretariats of the Municipal Assembly and the Administration Council in the capital of Villa Clara. Chester Chaviano Valdés, secretary of the body, detailed the local work systems and the harmony and cohesion in pursuit of the improvement of the Popular Power system, always focused on the people.
The Member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party Isael Rodríguez Rodríguez and the vice governor Noel Chinea also attended the exchange.
