one person died this Saturday morning in a crash involving three vehicles on the Pan-American highwayheading north of the province of Buenos Aires.
The fatal accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the height of route 202where until after 10 there was a total cut hand to the north. In the direction of the Federal Capital, there were also obstructed lanes which generated long delays in driving.
For reasons that are the subject of investigation, a gray Volkswagen Bora car lost control, collided with the central retaining wall, spun and was hit by a truck that also ended up hitting the guardrail. As a result of that sequence, a black Jeep was also involved in the accident.
The fatal victim is the driver of the car, while the person who was driving the truck suffered injuries, but is out of danger.
As experts confirmed to specialized journalist Ernesto Arriaga, the Bora was coming at very high speed. Her driver was not wearing a seat belt, so after the impact she flew through the windshield and ended up in the other lane.
“We had to do the expert report twice because we can’t believe the speed it was going,” the experts commented as quoted by Arriaga on LN+.
The entire accident occurred on the Panamericana near the Reconquista River, an area where there are no collector roads, so there was a traffic jam of more than 6 km in line.
