The artist from Potosí, Irma Zamorainaugurated his exhibition called “The navel of the moon”which is exhibited in the rooms of the Municipal Palace Cultural Center where the author reproduces manifestos of identity and of the person, through the warmth and joy of the colors that permeate the canvas with gratitude to the souls that shine in the backlight, and a recognition of otherness.
The pictorial work of Irma Zamora, an independent artist who for more than 20 years has developed in the field of plastic arts and music, with influences in the Latin American folklore and traditions from various parts of the world.
The exhibition was carried out with the support of the Program to Stimulate Artistic Creation and Development (PECDA) 2023, and in it, the author represents people close to her daily world and the musical scene in which it develops.

Since 2022, Irma Zamora has carried out an important internship as teacher in art and musicand has performed in various venues in the republic thanks to the “Música Raíz México” program in Nayarit, Guadalajara, Zacatecas and Real de Catorce.
The Director of Municipal Culture, Mr. Daniel de la Llera, indicated that “this exhibition is carried out with the objective of supporting Potosí artists, who have the galleries of the Palacio Municipal Cultural Center to strengthen their artistic development and to generate a critical dialogue with the public and promote research. and artistic training.”
