The Colombian National Team faces the United States this Saturday, in the first of the two friendly matches that will serve as preparation prior to the Copa América 2024, which will be held in the North American country, from June 20 to July 14.
Néstor Lorenzo confirmed that he has a base team to go out to the official competition, since there were no major surprises in his starting XI, despite a couple of variants.
In addition to the eleven starting players, the Argentine coach will take 15 players to the substitute bench to have as an alternative for the friendly against the American team.
Thus, Néstor Lorenzo will use 26 of the 28 players he called up, precisely the exact number that can be registered on the official list of the Copa América. Has he already defined which players he will leave out of the competition?
For now, the two sacrificed were Yerson Mosquera, central defender or right back for Villarreal of Spain; as well as Sebastián Gómez, a brand midfielder who plays for Coritiba, from the Brazilian Second Division.
