Within the framework of the national “Tree Week” the Municipality participated in the afforestation of the Patagonia Rugby club

Fogwill spoke with the teenagers about the importance of planting these tree species.

Within the framework of the national “Tree Week”, the Secretariat of Human Rights, Institutional Relations and International Cooperation, headed by Lucina De Giovanetti, through the Directorate of Adolescence, held this morning a day of afforestation at the Patagonia Rugby Club.

De Giovanetti specified that there are 35 native species that were planted today in the club.

He assured that “this project has a double purpose: first, to promote the direct participation of adolescents, generating a sense of belonging to the club and commitment to their environment. Second, we seek to contribute to the care of the environment and reduce the environmental impact in our city.”

The official said that, from the area under her charge, “we have devices dedicated to the promotion of rights for adolescents and youth in our city. We focus on creating spaces and activities that promote the comprehensive development of adolescents and youth.”

In addition, he highlighted that “it is essential to highlight the importance of networking for the success of this initiative, since the trees that were planted were generously donated by the Club of Rome Foundation, as part of its national “Tree Week” campaign.

There was also support from different areas of the Municipality of Neuquén such as the Ministry of Mobility and Citizen Services to carry out this action.

The Director of Adolescence, Alan Fogwill, assured that “it is our objective that young people feel part of something bigger, that they understand the importance of taking care of our environment and that, through these activities proposed by the Undersecretary of Children, Adolescence and “Older adults, develop a sense of responsibility and commitment to your community.”
