A teacher and social leader from Algeria, Cauca, is murdered

Armed men murdered Hernán Henríquez Mora after leaving an activity in the Sinaí district. Henríquez was a social leader, a teacher at the Agricultural Educational Institution of Algeria and director of the educational center of that municipality.

Members of the Central General Staff (EMC), the ELN, the Second Marquetalia and local gangs are present in the department. The NGO Indepaz reports that, so far this year, they have identified the murder of 76 social leaders.

Fecode, the Government of Cauca and political leaders regretted the murder.
