Strobel.- A devastating fire broke out yesterday, Friday, June 7, around 9:00 p.m. in a home in the Consorcio neighborhood, located on Presidente Perón Street. According to the report from the Diamante Departmental Police Headquarters, the incident occurred while one of the residents was changing a jug in the kitchen, which caused a fire outbreak that spread quickly throughout the house.
The family that lived in the property managed to escape alive thanks to the timely intervention of a neighbor. However, the flames caused injuries of various degrees to the owner of the home and his partner’s children. All the injured were immediately taken to Diamante Hospital for medical attention.
The most serious case is that of a six-year-old child, who suffered severe burns on his legs and arm, and had to be transferred to the San Roque Hospital in the city of Paraná due to the severity of his injuries.
The Prosecutor’s Office has intervened in the case and ordered the initiation of the corresponding proceedings. In addition, the Criminalistics Office of the Departmental Headquarters and the Sapper Firefighters Division carried out the necessary tests to determine the exact causes of the fire.
