The Chilean Meteorological Directorate issued a warning of normal to moderate rainfall between the regions of Coquimbo and Biobío that would bring rain of up to 30 mm and wind gusts could reach 60 km/h. The forecast for the areas affected by the alert indicates that a cloudy afternoon is expected for the Coquimbo region, but overcast at night with winds between 25 and 40 km/h. Meanwhile, showers and winds of up to 50km/h are expected early Sunday morning. For the Valparaíso region, an afternoon varying under cover is expected with winds between 20 and 40 km/h. For the mountain and foothill sectors of this region, rain and winds of up to 60 km/h are expected. Which adds up to thunderstorms tonight. The winds would remain throughout the day Sunday.
For the metropolitan region, the forecast indicates that between tonight and early Sunday morning there will be light showers with winds between 25 and 40 km/h, before changing to a sky covered with rain during Sunday morning.
The O’Higgins region, according to the forecast of the Chilean Meteorological Directorate, will be covered with rain and winds in the indicated magnitudes. Sunday will be covered all day with rain before arriving at night with showers.
For Maule, a covered afternoon with light rain is expected and at night and early morning this Sunday it will be covered with rain and a probable electrical storm with gusts of up to 60 km/h.
For Ñuble and Biobío the conditions indicate that they are already covered and rainy, a situation that should continue until Sunday night, when the forecast indicates covered with light showers. The frontal system will also bring winds to both regions with gusts of up to 60 km/h.
