The family of María Elcira Contreras, an older adult lost in Limache during Mother’s Day.
The woman celebrated with her clan at the Las Tórtolas Farm. And, when he decided to go to the bathroom while they were in the middle of eating, she was never heard from again.
For this reason, the search has been intense in the place, drying a nearby irrigation canal and investigating streams. But nothing has been found.
Because of this, the videos that have been recovered from that day are key. And now, the security cameras of the place delivered two new records, that would serve to find out what happened to María Elcira.
Thus, images from a TVN report show the 85-year-old woman arriving at the restaurant with her family, taken by the arm of a young man.
And then, in another record, you can see the minutes after his disappearance, where her entire clan goes out to look for her in the surrounding area after she did not return from the toilet.
Faced with these videos, her best friend, named Lucía Vega, spoke to the morning Nice to meet you. And not only did he provide a possible theory of the loss, but he also defended the family.
“To go to the bathroom, normally people go alone, they are not accompanied, because that is a private situation. Therefore, I would not like someone to accompany me… in no case was it a fault that they (the family) did not accompany her, plus the bathroom was next door,” he stated.
And he added that “When she came out, since she couldn’t get back into the dining room, she went outside. Since she didn’t know where the entrance to the restaurant was, she headed toward the parking lots, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t know where it was.”
Lucia expressed that “surely someone made a sign to her that they were going to help her and that was not the case, because that was where she disappeared… It is always assumed that the elderly person does not have the power to decide, But she was a person who was up to date with everything that was happening.”
In this way, these new records and the assumptions of those closest to them are key in days where the search continues for María Elcira, the elderly woman lost in Limache whose whereabouts are still unknown.
