The protesters who remain in the Villa de Pozos delegation are due to the social fatigue that exists, said Guadalupe Torres Sánchez, head of the General Secretariat of the State Government.
Since last May 26, street merchants have been protesting at the delegation headquarters in order to express their disagreements against the delegate, as they believe that he has not fulfilled several previously expressed promises.
Although the aforementioned disagreement is not related to the issue, Torres Sánchez took the opportunity to mention that the municipalization procedure of said delegation is still pending.
He stressed that the process is “nowhere near” proceeding, because two appeals have been resolved by the Judicial Branch of the Federation (PJF) “the next day Pozos, municipality will be done,” he assumed.
“It is nothing more than a consequence, also, of the social fatigue that exists in Villa de Pozos, San Luis Potosí,” considered the state official.
The protesting street vendors are part of a group of semi-permanent tenants who seek to obtain permits in the district capital, therefore, it is presumed that they are outside the group of inhabitants promoting the
municipalization.
