Instituto begins to travel the path to the National Basketball League playoffs. This Sunday, starting at 8 p.m., at the Ángel Sandrín, they host Regatas Corrientes, in the first match of a series that will be played in the best of five.
La Gloria reaches this stage as number two in the regular phase, with a record of 27 games won and 11 lost, in 38 games played. The team led by Lucas Victoriano was the sixth highest scoring team in the tournament with an average of 80.8 points in favor and will try to confirm its position in the key that will begin to be played this Sunday.
The Corrientes team is one of the surprises of the reclassification, eliminating Gimnasia y Esgrima de Comodoro Rivadavia 3-0. By sweeping the key in which it was at a sporting disadvantage, Regatas moved back into seventh place, and comes into the confrontation with the Alta Córdoba team on the rise.
Instituto will have a sporting advantage in this series so after the first game this Sunday, the key will continue on Tuesday, also at the Sandrín, but from 9 p.m. Afterwards, both teams will move to Corrientes to play the third game, on Friday June 14, at 9 p.m.
If a fourth match is necessary, it will be played at the José Jorge Contte stadium in the capital of Corrientes, on Sunday, June 16. Meanwhile, an eventual fifth game will be on Wednesday, June 19, in Alta Córdoba.
