The scandal over food withheld and about to expire in the warehouses of the Ministry of Human Capital, directed by Sandra Petovello, forced Justice to act for its corresponding distribution. In this context, it was learned that Córdoba will receive 34,000 kilos of powdered milk in the coming days.
In the schedule presented by the Ministry of Human Capital to federal judge Sebastián Casanello, the province will receive 34,240 kilos of powdered milk. In total, 389,351 kilos were collected that were stored in two warehouses, located in Buenos Aires and Tucumán.
Conin Foundation, represented by Abel Albino, is in charge of logistics, while the Army will do the distribution.
Marcela Hlavach, president of the Vaso de Leche Foundation, an organization that uses Conin’s methodology, explained that they do not know the exact date of receipt of supplies. However, she estimated that it will be between this Wednesday and Thursday.
Faced with this scenario, Hlavach clarified, in dialogue with El Doce: “We are a center for the prevention and treatment of child malnutrition. Therefore, we are not dedicated to distribution; “This is punctual and exceptional due to the food crisis that exists.”
On the other hand, Marcela Pesce, one of the representatives of Capredi-Córdoba, assured that, if the shipment exceeds 30,000 kilos, they will distribute them to other soup kitchens and NGOs with which they have a relationship.
Vaso de Leche is in charge of training 22 social organizations that help the most needy sectors. “We train them to provide a service of excellence at a nutritional level,” she indicated.
Through these entities and a study in their database, they will distribute the withheld food to 1,500 families in the province of Córdoba.
In this way, contrary to the idea of eliminating the intermediaries of the national government itself, they join Conin and replace the food distribution organizations with others.
