Martínez headed a working table with authorities of school No. 301 of China Muerta

The minister committed to starting the replacement of heating equipment. One of the demands raised is the construction of a SUM, which is foreseen in the works prioritization plan.

The Minister of Education, Soledad Martínez, held a working group this Friday with the educational community of school No. 301 of China Muerta.

Concerns related to heating, fumigation of the building and cleaning of the spaces surrounding the school were analyzed with representatives of the establishment.

The Executive stressed that, during the day on Friday, Camuzzi carried out the corresponding inspections to verify the presence of gas and carbon monoxide, tests that corroborated their non-existence. Meanwhile, they agreed to carry out fumigation tasks; also move forward together with the municipality of Plottier, regarding the relocation of garbage cans near the school.

Regarding the expansion project that the institution has pending, as well as the construction of a SUM, Martínez announced that it is planned in the Ministry of Education’s prioritization of works for its execution, while clarifying that there are no details of the deadlines. In addition, he announced the commitment to purchase heaters through the school district and the installation of a lighting system at the entrance to the institution.

The parties agreed to hold working groups to advance the resolution of each of the demands raised. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 27.

Currently, the school has an enrollment of 335 students, between initial and primary levels.

The minister was accompanied by the coordinator of Levels and Modalities of the Provincial Council of Education (CPE), Verónica Crespo, the undersecretary of Modernization and Educational Technology, Lucas Godoy, and members of the supervision of the primary and initial levels. The school’s director, Romina Forzati, the vice-principal, Beatriz Navarro, teachers and students’ families participated. Union leaders were also present.
