In recent months, the actions of armed groups have had the municipality of Jamundi. This is indicated by recent attacks such as the explosive that was detonated inside a vehicle, on the afternoon of Friday, June 7, in the main park of the town of Robles.

Although the government of Valle del Cauca assures that they have worked in an articulated manner with the institutions, they consider that more forceful actions must be carried out that allow stop attacks on the civilian population.

Meanwhile, Governor Dilian Francisca Toro took the opportunity to reiterate her call to the National Government to provide more support on the issue of security in the department. Furthermore, she reaffirmed her purpose in creating the high mountain battalion in the region.

“I think that everything these criminal groups are doing is retaliation for all the pressure we are putting on them, both the National Government and us from Valle del Cauca.
