The rains of the last few hours generated new emergencies in the municipalities of Ayapel, Tierralta, Montelíbano, Valencia and San Pelayo.
According to the governor of the department of Córdoba, Erasmo Zuleta Bechara, the most delicate situation occurs in the municipality of Ayapel, also affected months ago by floods caused by the Caregato jet.

According to Zuleta, the heavy rains collapsed a bridge at the point of Corinto, leaving the municipality cut off from its connection with La Apartada.
Teams of the Secretaries of Infrastructure, Interior and Risk Management of Córdoba are already responding to the mayors’ calls, the president reported.
Zuleta Bechara, on your X account (formerly Twitter) made an urgent call to the National Government to provide help in this rainy season and anticipate the arrival of the La Niña phenomenon.
“Today we woke up facing a flood emergency in our department. The most delicate situation is in Ayapel, where heavy rains collapsed a bridge at the Corinto point, leaving the municipality cut off. There are also emergencies in Tierralta, Montelíbano, Valencia and San Pelayo”Zuleta posted.
Relief agencies are carrying out tours of the affected areas and carrying out a census of families affected by these new emergencies.
