Images captured by the sector’s security cameras recorded the exact moment when a young woman was dragged for more than three blocks by an individual on a motorcycle who was trying to take her cell phone.
“I was working and Right at that moment there were a lot of people because it is rush hour, it was around 5 or 6 in the afternoon.. It turns out that when we saw, the girl was hanging from the attacker who was dragging her throughout the sector. In the videos you can see how he drags her,” said a neighbor from the area, visibly shaken by what happened.
What happened aroused discomfort and indignation among the residents of the sector, who decided to intervene to stop the aggressor and help the young woman.

The Bogotá Metropolitan Police has reported that in the town of Puente Aranda there has been a reduction in crime rates, insecurity continues to be a significant problem. The institution has assured that so far in 2024, around 1,743 people have been victims of various crimes in the town.
