After harsh criticism of opposition legislators who gave half-sanction to the new retirement mobility formula, the president Javier Milei He once again pointed out this Sunday against “caste”, in a publication by X where he shared a painting with the traffic light of economic activity in Argentina.
Beyond that In June and July a rise in prices is expected, Milei shows enthusiasm on the networks: “Looking at the traffic light of activity and the fall in inflation, that explains why the caste is pulling out all the stops.”
“They are burning the ships and the desperation is evident. They are going to go all out because they know that if it goes well they won’t come back again.… LONG LIVE FUCKING FREEDOM…!!!”, wrote the president, just 3 days before the Bases Law is discussed in Congress.
The activity “traffic light” shows the result of 10 indicators for the month of May, 5 of which have positive figures: AFIP collection for social security (4.6%), car licensing (2.1%), the UTDT consumer confidence index (0.9%), cement shipments (11.5% ) and the Construya Index (4.9%).
The other 5, however, reflect negative results: AFIP credits and debits (-15%), DGI AFIP VAT (-3.1%), real AFIP VAT (-4.8%), imports from Brazil (-8.2%), and car production in units (-7.1%).
This week, the far-right Government will face a new litmus test in Congress, when the Bases Bill, on which it has insisted since the beginning of the year, is discussed on Wednesday in the Senate.
With the eventual approval in the Senators – which will not turn the bill into law because it must return to the Deputies, since it underwent some changes – Milei will try to recover from the harsh defeat it suffered last week with the half-sanction of the new retirement mobility formula, which he promised to veto.
