Volunteer Firefighters confirmed that two young people, of the three who remained missing since last Friday in the beaches of the San José port, were found dead on the morning of this Sunday, June 9, 2024. The rescuers specified that they found the bodies in the on the way to the La Barrita neighborhood of the aforementioned municipality in the department of Escuintla.
At least 23 elements of the aforementioned relief force participate in the rescue tasks, including frogmen and rescuers who carry out foot patrols. The work of the members of the Southern Region Rescue Brigade of the aforementioned rescue force allowed this discovery.
Meanwhile, firefighters continue working to find the third of the missing.

The rescuers notified the National Civil Police (PNC) and the Public Ministry (MP) to proceed with the identification of the two deceased.
Meanwhile, the aforementioned relief force is working with the objective of finding the third missing person.
According to witnesses, the three missing people are members of a family that came to this sector to spend some time relaxing.
