First winners at the Córdoba Danza y Canta sus Tradiciones Festival, Bonche de Oro awards

Emblematic notes of Caribbean folklore such as ‘Festival en guararé’, ‘Los sabanales’, ‘La aventurera’, among others, performed within the framework of the Córdoba Danza y Canta sus Tradiciones Festival, Bonche de Oro awards, were responsible for ‘raising ‘ to the qualifying jury and the hundreds of attendees who vibrated with the cultural richness of the department.

During this Sunday, June 9, more than 600 children from the 30 municipalities of the department showed off their talent and Córdoba traditions.

The masterful interpretation of instruments such as bagpipes, clarinet, trumpets and drums, in musical genres such as porro and bullerengue, were coupled in a symphony with the angelic voices that filled the facilities of the Montería Convention Center with sounds, where the contest takes place.

Among those most infected in all this cultural waste were the governor of Córdoba, Erasmo Zuleta Bechara, and the social manager, Valeria Vega.

“The Livestock Fair is not only Montería, it is not only livestock. Córdoba is its 30 municipalities, its subregions, its diversity, its wealth and its culture. And that is what we are doing: highlight, highlight and make visible all our culture and art. Today we are in the children’s category with more than 600 children in the dance and also singing modalities, and tomorrow will be the day for adults,” said the departmental leader.

The governor continued by saying: “With these types of activities, what we are doing is highlighting our traditions and our great cultural identity. This is the first sample; The idea is that after this it will begin in the 30 municipalities, just as the teachers are in the schools giving mathematics, social, geography and physics classes, we will also have sports schools that we are supporting sports with everything, and the same with culture, highlighting our cultural managers, those instructors who, with so much care and so much difficulty, dedicate themselves to teaching children to play instruments.
