The Government Delegation in La Rioja celebrates Open Administration Week – Spain

Throughout this week, the Delegation of the Government of Spain in La Rioja celebrates Open Administration Week, which has had to be reduced to June 12, 13 and 14 as it coincides with holidays in the autonomous community.

The main objective of this initiative is to bring Public Administrations closer to citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.

For these days of the Government Delegation in La Rioja, six activities have been planned, which will be carried out by officials from the General State Administration (AGE) and the Civil Guard.

On the part of the Delegation staff, dissemination activities have focused on highly demanded aspects.

Information addressed to Rioja town councils:

Protocols to be able to install video surveillance cameras in towns that lack Local Police.

Information about state subsidies in case of emergency or disaster.

Information aimed at the foreign population: Alternatives to present documentation in Immigration procedures.

Homologation and validation of non-university foreign degrees and studies (ESO and Baccalaureate).

Information addressed to the peripheral structure of the AGE in the Territory: Obligations, duties, rights and responsibilities regarding the prevention of occupational risks.

By members of the Civil Guard, information workshops will be established in Nájera, Santo Domingo de la Calzada and Navarrete to inform older people who walk the Camino de Santiago about threats and possible dangers of crimes or scams along the route.
