A few weeks before the start of winter break, many families begin to plan a few days of rest or a vacation in one of the main destinations in the country. The General Directorate of Schools (DGE) reported through Resolution 120, the general provisions on the school calendar for the 2024 school year intended for all Mendoza schools at all levels and modalities.
In November 2023 and after confirming the national and provincial holidays of 2024, the Federal Council of Education established a minimum floor of 190 effective school days, but not all provinces will apply the same schedule.
In the case of the province of Mendoza, they reported that “in order to project an order and timing of school activities, the Mendoza school government guarantees 190 effective days of classes at each level, in compliance with Resolution 451 issued by the Federal Council of Education”.
Based on the provisions of the General Directorate of Schools (DGE), classes began on February 28, while the winter break will be for all levels and modalities, from July 8 to 21. The end of classes will be on December 13, thus fulfilling the 190 effective days of classes.
