Renovations are progressing at the “Juan Ignacio Gorriti” Normal School – Ministry of Education

Officials from the Secretariat of Educational Infrastructure -SIE- of the Ministry of Education recently visited the “Juan Ignacio Gorriti” Normal School in San Salvador de Jujuy to corroborate the progress in the renovations that are being carried out.

The work is carried out within the framework of CABEI and is part of the counterpart financing that the province has for the Program to Improve Access and Educational Quality PROMACE.

The Secretary of Educational Infrastructure, Victoria Martínez Fascio, highlighted that there are “renovations of different areas, mainly roofs, cleaning, replacement of tiles, waterproofing was resolved in the gallery, in kindergarten work is being done on the floors that due to their age had defects; a bathroom was built for children with access difficulties; arrangements were made to perimeter grilles and classroom lighting was incorporated where it was needed, with new fixtures.”

Martínez Fascio toured the building with the undersecretary of the area, Matías Torcivia, the BCIE-SIE Project Manager Laura Cadar, the Construction Manager of the construction company Geco, Emanuel García and the directors of the Initial and Secondary levels of the establishment.

The estimated deadline for completion of the work is the end of July.
