CÓRDOBA, June 10. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Culture Delegation of the Córdoba City Council has organized a tribute to the musician and composer Cipriano Martínez Rücker on the occasion of the centenary of his death, a program that seeks to give visibility to this essential composer of the era of Spanish romanticism.
As detailed by the Consistory in a note, this Tuesday, June 11, said tribute begins with the concert ‘The music of Cipriano Martínez Rücker’, by the Córdoba Plectrum Orchestra, a recital that will take place at the Superior Conservatory of Music Rafael Orozco, at 8:30 p.m.
On Wednesday the 19th, the public session of the Royal Academy of Córdoba will be held, with the intervention of Juan Miguel Moreno Calderón and Rafael Asencio González and the performance of the pianist Andrés Cosano. The meeting will be in the building of the former Rectorate of the UCO, on Alfonso XIII Street, at 7:30 p.m.
From June 25 to July 31 you can visit the exhibition ‘Capricho Andaluz. Cipriano Martínez Rücker on his centenary (1861-1924)’, specifically at the Provincial Historical Archive (Calle Pompeyos, 6), from Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Government of Andalusia and the Royal Philharmonic Center of Córdoba ‘Eduardo Lucena’ have also participated in the organization of this tribute, in collaboration with the Federation of Peñas Cordobesas, the Royal Academy of Sciences, Bellas Letters and Noble Arts of Córdoba and the Rafael Orozco Superior Conservatory of Music.
