“With forceful actions and positive results, such as a reduction of more than 60% in the rate of homicides and other punishable conduct, compared to the same period in 2023, Sincelejo is today the safest city in the country,” Acuña revealed.

He added that they will continue to perfect all security strategies in an attempt to reduce homicides to zero and I reiterate the call to citizens to collaborate with the authorities in this common purpose throughout the city of Sincelejo.
He indicated that all the actions that have been carried out to guarantee the safety of citizens have contributed to Sincelejo occupying first place among the safest capital cities in the country.
“An example of the above is that in May only one homicide was recorded, a figure that is considered very positive when compared to that reported in the same month of 2023,
when 26 murders were recorded” highlighted Mayor Acuña.
Finally, he noted that The police presence in critical areas will continue to be a constant, but he insisted that people’s participation will be essential for these indices to be sustained and improved in favor of the tranquility of the inhabitants of Sincelejo.
