The Visible Hands Foundation will celebrate 14 years of history with the broadcast of the documentary Naidí Valley, programming new futures that under the direction of the renowned Quibdoseño director Johnny Hendrix highlights the positive impact that facilitating access to technology has had on younger generations in Chocó.

In The Most Snail Hendrix recalled that in his childhood and adolescence, thinking about making films or having access to technology in Quibdó was a utopia, so it was worth showing how this technological possibility has changed the imagination of his young countrymen.

The Manos Visibles Foundation was created by former Minister of Culture Marcela Moreno with the purpose of strengthening and enhancing the capabilities of the new generations of Chocó, a historically forgotten territory.

Valle del Naidí is the strategy with which Manos Visibles builds technological equity in the Colombian Pacific and in Medellín, through the training of cutting-edge leadership. After its implementation in 2021, Valle del Naidí has managed to train 1,500 boys, girls and adolescents in robotics, home automation, programming and power skills.

It has impacted 15 educational institutions in the South Pacific by training students within these programs and has provided five laboratories of Educational Institutions focused on training in robotics, home automation, programming and 3D printing in Guapi, Timbiquí, Tumaco and Buenaventura. In addition, 12 young people from the region have been awarded scholarships to study Engineering at the Autonomous University of the West.
