About Los Tabaleros

The Tabaleros is a folkloric group from Buenos Aires with punk rock influences. In their first years they dedicated themselves to interpreting and understanding the most traditional vernacular folk and little by little they realized their real need to innovate and express themselves.

The band has a folkloric origin, but they also embrace all types of musical and artistic aesthetics, they carry out performative works ranging from acoustic formats to blind theater, as well as recitals in the national rock scene with presentations at Centro Cultural Recoleta, CC Matienzo, Uniclub, Konex, Niceto, Teatro Caras y Caretas, Café Vinilo, Mastai, Baradero Rock and Cosquín Rock.

The first album of The Tabaleros It was published in 2009: “Crimson”. In 2013 they released their second album, “Lolita”. It was precisely from “Lolita”and in a greater way in “You and!” and “Chuy”, third and fourth albums, where they develop this particular music where the carnavalito has murga things or where a chacarera can become a rock ballad. In 2015 they present “You and!”, the third album that featured the orchestra direction and production of Juan Gigena Ábalos. It was recorded at MCL Records, El Gorrión Negro and TUCO Estudio. It was mastered by renowned engineer Daniel Ovie.

The band that never stands still had a great 2018, where they participated in festivals at CC Konex; the Provincia Emergente Festival, at the Estadio Único de La Plata, and a 2019 full of its own and powerful shows. They also participated in festivals in Buenos Aires and the Province, in popular and varied bands (Dúo Coplanacu, Mala Fama). They toured the interior of the country (Rosario, Córdoba) and were also guests of Los Auténticos Decadentes in the “Festival Nacional” show in Buenos Aires and La Plata, and in Luna Park, of Las Pastillas del Abuelo.

Recorded and mastered at the “Del Abasto Monsterland” studios by Álvaro Villagra.

A slow-cooked album that reveals the most intimate and tender side of the most beloved group of bearded men. With this material, the band toured the country and closed the year with a completely sold out CC Konex.
