The smart mobility platform, “Didi” announced its arrival in the city of Córdoba and invites interested drivers to register. The service has been operating in Buenos Aires since 2020 and in the coming weeks it will be available in the Capital of Córdoba. Like Uber, the municipality does not recognize it within legal transportation.
DiDi announced that it will offer three of its most used services in the region: “DiDi Express”, which connects users to transport passengers in private vehicles; “DiDi Moto”, exclusive for the transportation of passengers by motorcycle under the negotiation model of the price suggested by the app; and “DiDi Poné Tu Precio”, which provides passenger transportation by car under the same negotiation model.
The entity ensures that the objective of this arrival is to bring new sources of profit generation to more people and, in turn, democratize access to more economical, efficient mobility and with security tools for more travelers.
“Our mission is to enrich people’s quality of life by offering greater economic opportunities and improving urban mobility. Since 2020, we have been successfully operating in Buenos Aires and we are excited to expand this positive impact to thousands of citizens in the City of Córdoba,” explained Delfina Orlando, Senior Communications Manager for DiDi Cono Sur.
According to data collected by the company in Buenos Aires in May 2024, a car driver who drives 5 times a week, 9 hours a day, can generate an average of $350,000 per week. “DiDi is a daily solution for hundreds of thousands of Argentine citizens of Buenos Aires and La Plata who decide to generate profits in a flexible way,” Orlando added.
The company offers a range of app-based services in Asia Pacific, Latin America and Africa, including ride-hailing, taxi transportation, ride-sharing and other forms of shared mobility, as well as solutions for cars, food delivery, cargo transportation and logistics and financial services.

Special launch services
The platform will be offering specialized benefits for those registered drivers during the launch period. Between them they will be able to access 0% commission for using the app, that is, during the first weeks they will be able to maximize the profits they generate by connecting through the app and completing trips.
One of the features that drivers value most is that by paying a minimum amount, they can withdraw the profits they generate from the application’s virtual wallet on a daily basis, that is, whenever they want based on their financial plans and day-to-day needs.
In addition, the platform will offer promotions with daily and weekly objectives. Orlando explained: “We have promotions that we bring to drivers every week, like extra earnings, some earnings multipliers or guaranteed earnings.”
Each benefit works based on challenges that drivers can complete in order to obtain the rewards of each one.
The application also integrates tools that allow the driver to have approximate predictability of their trips and safety features such as passenger information, whether it is a new passenger or one who has already made several trips, the direction of the trip, a high-demand map in real time, emergency buttons, systems that monitor trips 24/7 and other technologies based on an artificial intelligence model, which allow us to detect if there are anomalies or risks in trips and automatically contact local authorities if necessary.
How to register to be a driver
Since May 13, 2024, the platform enabled driver registration for all those people who want to start driving and generate profits.
To start the process, the step by step is as follows:
1. Download the DiDi Conductor application
2. Specify if it would be for the transfer of passengers by car or motorcycle
3. Complete the required information (for example, personal information and vehicle or motorcycle data)
4. Upload the corresponding documentation: Driver’s license (B or D); Car ID (licence side and address side), vehicle color data (car or motorcycle), Vehicle Insurance Certificate, and a photo (selfie) (Documents must have at least 1 month of validation remaining).
For those interested in registering as drivers of “DiDi Express” or “DiDi Poné Tu Precio”, it is necessary to be over 20 years old and own a vehicle (car/truck) manufactured since 2004, equipped with air conditioning, airbags, have at least 4 doors and a private license plate.
For their part, those who want to register to drive with “DiDi Moto” must be at least 18 years of age.
Within 24 to 48 hours, the applicant’s profile will be reviewed and will go through a background check process.
If you pass the verification and meet all the requirements and documentation, you will be registered to begin making trips once the platform is available for passengers.
