This June 11th International Cycling Union (UCI) confirmed the number of cyclists for the discipline of BMX racing who will be able to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games for each of the countries, in the case of Colombia, The country will have five runners who will be three men and two women.

The number of runners per country is determined by the Olympic ranking, which adds up the UCI points obtained by the three best athletes from the countries in the elite and under 23 categories. These units are obtained through the positions that each cyclist has in competitions valid for a period of time.

In the case of Colombia, the country obtained two different results, the first is in the female branch, which occupied fifth place in the ranking with a total of 10,195 points, which grants two places for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

From this classification, the two athletes who will participate in the BMX Racing discipline are: Mariana Pajon who was the best Colombian with a total of 5,702 points and Gabriela Bolle Carrillo which totaled 3,017 units.

In the case of the male branch, The country obtained second place in the Olympic ranking with a total of 12,519 points, granting three places for the Olympic Games.

The following will participate in this Olympic ranking: Carlos Alberto Ramirez being the best Colombian with 4,721 points, Diego Alejandro Arboleda with 4,651 units and Mateo Cardona García being the best sub 23.
