For his part, the Minister of Defense Iván Velásquez, spoke at the promotion ceremony that Feria did not attend, there he referred to honesty that should characterize all members of the public force: “We insist that the public force, particularly today the National Police, each man and woman of the institution, has to be in itself a reference of honesty (…) that all close people have that confidence that they are dealing with honest men and women who also reject any form of corruption“.

The Ministry of Defense has not issued additional comments on Feria’s promotion or the current status of the investigation related to Marelbys Meza.
