An action carried out by the Bucaramanga authorities allowed the arrest of three subjects who had a firearm and more than 400 doses of narcotics in their possession.
The action led by the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police in conjunction with the National Army allowed three individuals to be captured in the Pablón neighborhood, north of the capital of Santander, for the crimes of drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms.
They are the aliases ‘Kevin’, ‘Brandon’ and ‘Cristian’ who were on public roads selling illicit substances.
According to the commander of the Mebuc Police, Colonel Henry Yesid Bello Cubides, the operation was planned with information and support from the community that had denounced that those arrested were recognized dealers in this area of the city.
“The drugs were ready to be marketed in the Pablón neighborhood, Los Colorados and other sectors in the north of Bucaramanga. We highlight the support of citizens to denounce the presence of the ‘pots’ dedicated to micro-trafficking,” said the officer.

The drug dispensers were placed at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office who will present them before a Guarantee Control Judge.
At the time of the arrests, money from drug sales was seized, as well as 69 doses of marijuana, 250 doses of basuco, 120 doses of cocaine and a pistol-type firearm.
“We invite the community to be part of the network and report to line 123, the presence of jíbaros, the existence of ‘pots’, the local trafficking of illicit drugs and all activities related to drug trafficking,” said the Colonel Bello Cubides.
As a noteworthy fact, the Police have captured 2,558 people for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics during the year 2024 in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga.
