The mayor of the Capital, Eng. Norma Fuentes, supervised the progress of the comprehensive remodeling work at the historic Las Casuarinas campsite, “which seeks to renew and adapt the space to the new needs of the neighbors, preserving the existing natural wealth,” indicated the community leader.
The large property will have multiple spaces for recreational, sports, social and cultural use; adding to the large infrastructure works that are being carried out throughout the main green lung of the city.
«We want residents to have a new option to enjoy different recreational activities with family and friends, surrounded by the canopies of the old casuarinas that characterize this beautiful outdoor area.«, indicated Eng. Fuentes.
«Likewise, we seek to provide alternatives to tourists who, year after year, visit us in search of new options to enjoy a comfortable and enjoyable stay, understanding that Aguirre Park is one of the places most chosen by the community.“, he pointed.
In addition to brand new swimming pools with sections for children and adults and water games, the campsite will have a camping area, market-restaurant, bathrooms-changing rooms, parking area and a beach for playing 5-a-side soccer, basketball, volleyball and other sports.
It will also have barbecue areas with capacity for 30 and 50 people, with a structure of columns and metal grids with a gabled sheet metal roof, which will be equipped with a barbecue, preparation and dishwashing area.
In the same sense, a children’s play space and healthy squares were proposed in the center of the property that will be connected to each other and to the rest of the areas through paths that will extend throughout the land, where the trees were preserved. .
