Communities of the Sierra Nevada continue on civic strike for peace and mobilization as a sign of protest to demand from the Government of Gustavo Petro the installation of the dialogue table with the group Conquering Self-Defense Forces of the Sierra.

Likewise, the president highlighted that he has given instructions to his work team to exhaust all avenues of dialogue with the community in order to lift the blockade of this important road.

Meanwhile, the Government of Magdalena, headed by Rafael Martínezduring the security council convened by the department, announced rewards to find the location and capture of the most wanted criminals in ‘Los Pachencas’ and the ‘Clan del Golfo’. Likewise, the president referred to the instrumentalization and threats of armed groups, to merchants, farmers, indigenous people and social leaders, to participate in an alleged protest.

“We believe in peace agreements and a negotiated solution to the conflict. It is not true that we are against peace, I understand that initially ‘Los Pachencas’ were on a list for agreements with the central government, but today they are not here precisely because they themselves did not stop committing crimes,” the president said.
