The restriction of heavy traffic on provincial routes begins – La Noticia 1

Directorate of Roads of the Province of Buenos Aires reported that due to the long weekend this Friday the 14th, Saturday the 15th and Monday the 17th of June, the circulation of trucks with cargo of more than 7 tons gross load will be restricted.

The decision affects Highway 2, Provincial Routes Nº11, Nº36, Nº56, Nº63, Nº74, and the Buenos Aires-La Plata Highway, with the aim of facilitating vehicular movement and preventing traffic accidents on tourist routes.

In the Atlantic Coast direction, the Friday, June 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. and Saturday, June 15, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

As far as CABA is concerned, it will be Monday 17th from 06:00 to 14:00.

Sections:

  • Buenos Aires – La Plata Highway: From the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to the city of La Plata.
  • Provincial Route No. 2 (HIGHWAY 2): From km 40.5 of the Buenos Aires – Mar del Plata Branch of the Buenos Aires – La Plata Highway to Km. 400 (Camet).
  • Provincial Route Nº11: From intersection with RP Nº 36 (Pipinas) to Km. 537 (Chapadmalal)
  • Provincial Route Nº36: From Rotonda RP Nº 10 (Prolongación Av. 66 – La Plata) to the intersection with RP Nº 11 (Pipinas)
  • Provincial Route Nº56: From its intersection with RP Nº 11 (Gral. Conesa) to its intersection with RP Nº 74 (Gral. Madariaga).
  • Provincial Route Nº63: From Transit Distributor with RP No. 2 (Dolores) to Intersection with RP No. 11 (Corner of Crotto).
  • Provincial Route Nº74: From its intersection with RP Nº 56 (Maipú) to its intersection with RP Nº 11 (Pinamar).

Vehicles for the motor transport of loads less than 7 tons gross load and vehicles for essential activities are exempt from any restriction on circulation, temporary or permanent.

Provincial Roads recommends drivers: drive with the low beams on; with the updated VTV; respect the maximum and minimum speeds; put on your seat belt; do not overtake another vehicle with a double yellow line; children under 12 years of age must travel in the back seat and be properly restrained; having slept and rested before embarking on a trip and not drinking alcohol.
