The Ramstein Group is part of the NATOso that Argentine incorporation into that organization, as the President of the Nation intends, has progressed significantly.
In Belgium, Petri shared a meeting with several of his peers from different countries, including the United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III.
The American himself was the one who reported: “Argentina joins the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group (UDCG). It is basically the base of NATO (Rammstein) from which that organization plans actions for Ukraine.”
And he clarified: “It does not mean that we are going to send troops or planes! I am pleased to welcome Argentina as a new member. Minister Petri, I am glad to have you with us,” added the American.
Petri said: “I met with the Secretary of Defense of the United States, Lloyd J. Austin III, with whom we share the same view on the need to strengthen shared efforts to achieve a just peace in Ukraine. In the Argentina of President Javier Milei we defend an international order based on the universal principles of freedom and sovereignty.”

Luis Petri was in Brussels in April when Argentina presented the letter of intent that begins the process of incorporating the country into this organization, which marks the interest in participating constructively in global security.
